FAQs

Q: Do you take insurance?

Dr. Su operates as an Out of Network Provider (OOP) and does not have a contractual arrangement with insurance companies.  This decision is based on his commitment to delivering a superior level of service that emphasizes extended patient interaction and high-quality treatments, many of which are typically not covered by insurance.  Insurance plans often impose restrictions on the services they will reimburse, a practice often referred to as "insurance-driven health care" or "sick care."  Our approach is to prioritize practitioner-driven healthcare, wherein the doctor makes treatment decisions based on what is most beneficial for your recovery rather than being limited by what insurance will cover.

Q: I have a HSA/FSA card, can I use that?

Yes you can!  If you have an HSA/FSA card associated to your insurance, you are welcome to use it as a form of payment and if needed, we will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance.

Q: My insurance has out of network coverage, can you use that?

We may certainly help with that.  Our office policy collects at time of service, so if your insurance does cover out of network Chiropractic, we may assist you by submitting claims on your behalf or by providing you a superbill so that you may submit to your insurance for reimbursement purposes.  Reimbursements should go directly to you, so please remember to check your insurance's portal or your physical mail.  We would also like to clarify that reimbursements are not guaranteed.

Q: How much does it cost?

Cost will vary with the initial visit being $189, as we do a comprehensive examination, functional assessment, history, consultation, and treatment in the first visit.  Our goal is to provide quality care for patients.  Followings visits decrease in cost from $110 until it hits a flat rate of $80.  Any supplies purchased will be an additional cost depending the cost of the equipment.  Please visit the "services" tab or call for additional details.

Q: How long is each visit?

Initial visits are 60 minutes in length, first follow-up visit is 45 minutes, and subsequent visits are 30 minutes.  The first few visits are deliberately scheduled for longer times to allow both the clinician and patient to address any concerns.

Q: What can I expect for each for each visit?

When you schedule for your first appointment you will be taken through a thorough physical examination and treatment (which consists of adjustments, soft tissue release work, flexion distraction table, mobility work/corrective exercises).  So please wear or bring athletic clothes so that you may move comfortably in.  For the first follow-up visit, there is a Report of Findings where the doctor will lay out what was found regarding examinations as well as tailor a treatment plant fit for you.  Each subsequent visit afterwards consists of a quick assessment, adjustments, corrective exercises, or soft tissue modalities.

Q: Will Chiropractic help with my problem?

This question will be best addressed by the clinician.  We commonly see patients with neuromusculoskeletal issues, but chiropractic has been known to provide some relief to a variety of conditions.  We would recommend scheduling for a free 15 min consultation to determine if chiropractic is right for you.  Please call the office for details.

Q: Do you have any prepaid packages?

We currently do not offer prepaid packages as each patient is unique in their health and recovery.  Visit frequency is dependent on patient's overall health and adherence to doctor's recommendations, which the clinician will determine based on the response to the treatment.
